WORKSOP audiences have a choice of two nights to howl with laughter as actors Dominic Goodwin and Emanuel Brierley seek to unravel The Mystery of Irma Vep at the Acorn Theatre this month.
Presented by Angus and Ross Theatre Company in conjunction with Helmsley Arts Centre and directed by Em Whitfield Brooks, this outrageously funny show by Charles Ludlam is America’s most produced play.

Acorn chairman David Jordan said he was delighted to welcome a madcap horror story to Worksop which promised to be an evening not to be missed.

”Dominic is a real Acorn favourite and we’ve seen him here on many occasions. He’s equally at home in serious roles such as he played in Not About Heroes as well as at the really funny end of the theatre spectrum in shows like Irma Vep,” he said.

But who exactly is Irma Vep? That’s the mystery at the heart of this outrageously funny tour-de-force.

On a dark and stormy night Lady Enid arrives at the Mandacrest Estate with her new husband Lord Edgar.

Tickets for the 7.30pm show on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th October are priced £8, £7 concessions.

Contact the box office on 01909 501817.
