Runners take Vicar Water by storm

Local orienteers took Vicar Water by storm at the recent Notts Winter League event.

On the White Course, Tom Cooley sped around in 13mins 36secs, to record an impressive first place.

However, not to be outdone, Bassetlaw juniors made a clean sweep of the Orange Course, taking the first five places.

Then, on the hardest and longest course of the day, the Long Technical, Will Parkinson produced an impressive run to finish in third.

RESULTS

White (length 1.4km, climb 45m, eight controls): 1st Tom Cooley.

Orange (length 2.7km, climb 75m, 14 controls): 1st Stefan Taylor, 2nd Fraser Ridgway, 3rd Jodie Wright, 4th Amelia Biddulph, 5th Emma Wright, 9th Alexander Ridgway, 20th Oonah Ridgway, 29th Cameron Ridgway.

Long Technical (length 4.8km, climb 160 metres, 21 controls): 3rd William Parkinson, 8th Robert Parkinson, 22nd Graeme Huggan, 30th Helen Parkinson, 37th Andrew Ridgway.
