Clough is tough for runners

EYAN Moor and Bretton Clough, in the Peak District, provided a very physical challenge for all the Bassetlaw orienteers who braved the wind and rain on Sunday, for the East Midlands Orienteering Championships.

Of the nine who ran, seven achieved top 10 finishing positions, a very encouraging outcome.

Results: Robert Parkinson 1st (M55S), Helen Parkinson 3rd (W45S), Oonah Ridgeway 6th (W50L), Ben Beresford 6th (M18A), Fraser Ridgway 7th (M12A), Alexander Ridgway 9th (M14A), Paul Beresford 10th (M40L), Will Parkinson 11th (M16A), Andrew Ridgway 15th (M50L).

This weekend, the local orienteering action is at South Common, in Lincoln, on Saturday morning and at Colwick Woods, in Nottingham, on Sunday morning.
