Badgers into quarter-finals

RETFORD United have reached the quarter-final stages of the Notts Senior Cup, after last night’s last gasp win over Wollaton.

Badgers triumphed 2-1 at Cannon Park, thanks to winner deep in stoppage from Carl Haslam.

The hosts had gone ahead on 19 minutes through Adam Scott, but Jack Smith levelled for Wollaton on the hour mark.

Popular front man Haslam popped up 10 minutes into injury time to put his side through.

Brett Marshall’s men will take on Newark Town in the next round.

On Saturday they travel to Brighouse Town.
