Pupils from Wales High School show racism the red card

Wales High School students did their bit to tackle the problem of racism recently.

Rotherham United Football Club hosted the anti-racism event Show Racism The Red Card at their brand new New York Stadium.

The 20 year nine pupils from Wales High spent the day learning about cultural diversity and how to celebrate the fact that we are all unique and different.

The conference was also an opportunity for the students to engage with pupils from other Rotherham schools.

During their day at the club they learned more about which words are racist and about the many negative effects that racism can have on people’s lives.
