Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce has been recognised by the national Chamber movement after spearheading a groundbreaking lobbying campaign throughout 2012.

The chamber was commended in the Most Effective Campaigning Award category at the British Chambers of Commerce’s 2012 Chamber Awards ceremony held at the Guildhall in London.

Andrew Denniff, the chamber’s executive director, said: “This recognition is a genuine reward for the hard work that we have put into our aim of being the leading voice for businesses in Barnsley and Rotherham, as the national Chamber is for Britain.”
