Police release woman arrested over hammer attack

A WOMAN who was arrested after a man was attacked with a hammer in Worksop on Saturday has been bailed.
Emergency services were called to Lowtown Street just after 7pm on 26th January where a 51-year-old woman received head injuries following a disagreement between a small group of people who knew each other.
Police say that a man was also hospitalised who is thought to have been hit with a hammer.
He is in a stable condition.
A 26-year-old arrested on suspicion of assault has since been released from custody and is on police bail pending further enquiries.
