The cast of Rotherham’s panto Peter Pan signed off in style by helping staff to raise an amazing amount for a local charity.
Volunteer stewarding staff at Rotherham Civic Theatre have helped to raise over £4,000 for the Rotherham Hospital children’s charity Dr Ted’s - the most ever collected in the three years the theatre has collected for good causes.
The 32-strong team collected the money during 74 shows by holding buckets while showing panto goers to their seats.
Rotherham Theatres manager Mark Scott said: “Our volunteer steward staff are an amazing lot and they’ve really shown how amazing by collecting this fantastic amount for a great local charity.”
