Motorbike crash leaves man fighting for life

A 30-year-old man is in a life threatening condition in hospital following a motorbike crash in Kiveton Park on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occured at 11.20am at Red Hill around 300 yards east of the junction with Trinity Road.

A black Cagiva Supercity motorbike being rode by the man from North Anston was travelling along Red Hill towards South Anston.

As it neared an offside bend the rider appears to have lost control and hit a telegraph pole.

The rider suffered life threatening internal injuries and is currently in the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash or anyone that saw the bike shortly before the crash. Anyone with information should contact the South Yorkshire Police Witness Helpline on 0114 2202970.
