CLAYLANDS Avenue Gardeners Society have been presented with a cheque for £1,000 following their success in Notts Wildlife Trust’s annual Green Guardians Environmental Awards.

The society won the Education and Environment Award for their efforts to educate the local community about growing fruit and vegetables and for their commitment to encouraging wildlife, and were presented with cheque by Ian Greatorex of Siemens Metering Communications and Service. Winners are picked by professor David Bellamy from a shortlist drawn up by local judges.
