Funding local ministries
Guardian News
Clergy and congregations from the Diocese of Sheffield will gather in Sheffield next weekend to consider how to fund the ministry in the years to come.
The Archdeacon of Sheffield and Rotherham Martyn Snow said: “With financial pressures, we are quite aware now that the system is placing heavy demands on parishes so The Bishop of Sheffield asked for a full scale review – this is the start.”
“We hope that every parish will be really well represented, that it will be a constructive discussion and a clear way forward will emerge that the whole diocese agrees on.”
