Five hurt in Gipsy Lane road collision
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two Maltby men were hurt in a two-car collision yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
A 50-year-old Maltby man driving a green Rover veered across Blyth Road - crashing into a blue Honda jazz travelling in the opposite direction.
He suffered serious chest injuries and was taken to Rotherham General Hospital.
His two passengers - a 25-year old Maltby man who suffered whiplash was taken to Rotherham Hospital, and a 52-year-old Wakefield man who was taken by air ambulance to Sheffield Northern Hospital with serious chest and leg injuries.
The incident happened near the junction of Gipsy Lane, Stone, around 3.30pm.
The Honda driver, a 74-year-old man from Worksop, suffered slight injuries and was taken to Rotherham Hospital.
His passenger, a 73-year-old Worksop woman, was taken to the same hospital with leg and chest injuries.
