Election 2010: Who wins?...make your vote count

The Rother Valley is in the grip of election fever as the five candidates enter the last week of campaigning before Thursday's General Election.

And with predictions that a hung Parliament might be the most likely outcome, this is the most exciting election the country has seen since New Labour swept to power in 1997.

And last Thursday three of the five candidates took part in a debate at Dinnignton Methodist Church, where they were quizzed on issues surround human rights.

Labour's Kevin Barron, Lib Dem Wesley Paxton and UKIP's Tina Dowdall faced the audience at the debate organised by the Rotherham branch of the World Development Movement supported by Amnesty.

Conservative candidate Lynda Donaldson was not there, but sent her appologies. BNP candidate Will Blair was not invited as the group did not know he was standing.

See this week's Dinnignton Guardian for all the latest news in a three page election special.
