A POWER station worker will lose around £25,000 after admitting drink driving.

Peter Cook, 54, of Thorpe Road Avenue, Howden, Goole crashed into a parked car in Cottam on 30th November.

Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard he had a few drinks after work and was on his way to his guest house when the accident happened.

Defending, Tony Hadfield said Cook will be out of work for the length of the ban, losing around £25,000 in earnings.

Cook’s 18 month ban will be cut by 19 weeks if he completes a drink drive rehabilitation course. He must also pay £415 in fines and costs.
