Rebecca's Dance Studios in Carlton is celebrating after fitting a new studio

Dancers at Rebecca’s Dance Studios are on cloud nine after they received more than £500 in donations to pay for a new studio.

The Carlton school, which offers ballet, tap, modern, acrobatics, streetdance and contemporary classes for all ages, opened in June 2011 and has over 200 students.

The brand new studio boasts specialist dance floor, mirrored wall, ballet barre, toilets and changing rooms and is based in Carlton’s Civic Centre.

The fundraising efforts were supported heavily by residents and businesses who sponsored Carlton couple Peter and Julia Burton on a sponsored walk in aid of the dance studios.

Principal Rebecca Doona said it was ‘amazing’.
