Christmas came to Harthill at the weekend to raise money for Harthill Pre-School.

During the day there was Christmas Fayre and hot lunches on offer, which were donated by Greencore and the local bakery.

The day was rounded off with a huge Christmas party for 70 of the local children.

“Everything we needed was donated,£ said organiser Cheryl Swallow from Harthill Pre-School committee.

“The co-op in Harthill funded the party food, Mickey Mouse, Santa and the Children’s entertainer and Alison Noble from Caterpillar Music donated their services, and even all the elves and kitchen staff were parents and villagers.”

“The day cost absolutely nothing and we raised almost £1000 for pre-school.”

“The kids loved it, and it was a brilliant opportunity for all the community to get together.”

Harthill Pre-School caters for children aged from two to five years of age and has free places available.
