Maltby Town Council unveil �10,000 worth of new outdoor gym equipment at Coronation Park in Maltby (w121221-3)

People in Maltby don’t have to join the gym to keep fit this year – they can just head to their local park.

Groundwork Dearne Valley, Rotherham Council and Rotherham Youth Service in partnership with Maltby Town Council, secured funding for five pieces of outdoor gym equipment from the Britvic transform your patch initiative.

Consultation took place with the young people of Maltby to find out which pieces of equipment they would like to see.

And just before Christmas, five pieces of outdoor gym equipment were installed in Coronation Park.

Coun Keith Stringer said: “The equipment is already being well used and proving a popular addition to the park.”

“The gym is for use by all and we hope that members of the Maltby community will enjoy and take care of the equipment.”
