COmmunity spirit in Harworth was high as residents come together to raise money for a mother with cancer.
A casino night at the Blacksmiths Arms pub last month raised £465 for Adele Kingston, aged 38.
Adele, 38, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and requires treatment for brain tumours not covered by her NHS trust.
The money went into a fund set up by pub landlord and family friend Peter Humphrey who organised the night to help pay for her care.
“Initially it didn’t look very busy and I panicked a little, but by the end of the night it was packed and it turned out to be a great success”, said Adele.
