The Chesterfield Canal Trust Supporters Group is holding a charity race afternoon in Killamarsh on Sunday.

The race afternoon is being held at the Nether Green WMC, starting at 1pm. Free sandwiches will be served, and the profits will be split between the Chesterfield Canal Trust and the pub’s chosen charity.

The trust is holding familiarisation trips for anyone who is thinking of joining the crew of its historic Python boat on 16th, 20th and 25th of February.

The 90 minute trips go from Shireoaks to the Lock Keeper and back with a;stop for refreshments. Email python@chesterfield-canal-trust.org.uk for details.
