HEROIC folk are being invited to take part in a fundraising weekend to support Cancer Research UK.

Every Penny Counts volunteering collections will take place at Tesco in Dinnington on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February.

Cancer Research UK is looking for enthusiastic and friendly people to go to their local store to help out for just three hours.

The money raised will contribute to the £10 million target Tesco is aiming to hit for Cancer Research UK, its charity of the Year.

Caroline Silke, Cancer Research UK head of corporate fundraising, said: “As a charity we are dependent on the support of volunteers to raise money to help fund our groundbreaking research.”

“The Every Penny Counts weekend is a fantastic opportunity to have fun and be a hero by helping to raise thousands of pounds towards our life-saving work to help more people beat cancer.”

To sign up to volunteer your time, visit www.cancer.org.uk/tesco-collections, call 0203 469 5121 or email tescocollections@cancer.org.uk
