Suspected arson at Maltby home

POLICE are treating a fire which broke out at a Maltby terraced house in the late hours of Bank Holiday Monday as arson.
Fire crews from Maltby and Edlington raced to the scene on Strauss Crescent at 10.20pm where two pockets of flames had engulfed the property.
No-one was inside the house when the fire broke out and so there were no casualties, but the interior of the property was seriously damaged.
Strauss Crescent resident Rose Davis, 60, looked on as the fire engines rushed past her kitchen window.
"They got here really quickly and did not take long to put the fire out," she said.
Added fellow neighbour, 28-year-old Craig Hamilton: "All I saw was that there was a lot of black smoke coming out of the windows."
Fire crews left the scene at 11.20pm and police say investigations are still ongoing.
Anyone with information should contact Rotherham CID on 01709 83 2274 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
