A DINNINGTON man's business venture has been deemed a success by members of the local business fraternity.
The newly-formed Dinnington Business Club, organised by well known Sheffield area business-man and hyno therapist Tim Wells, held its first meeting at the Middleton Hall and altogether 17 people turned up for the event.
Mr Wells said he had been thinking of running a Dinnington Business Club for the last six years.
“And I thought that now was a great time to get one off the ground, he said.”
“The idea was to try and increase business in the local area and give people an opportunity to exchange ideas in an informal setting.”
Mr Wells said the support he had received from the Dinnington Area Regeneration Trust had been much appreciated.
Several companies were represented at the event including D.A.R.T Travel Counsellors, Jaliha, Result CD, Cruis Technologies, HSBC, Beahan Accountants, Tierney Solicitors, Fusion Office Interiors, JD Approach, HiTech Printers, Nat West and Rotherham Designer Marketing Co.
“Initially I wondered how everything would go – was it the right time or not,” he said.
“As it turned out we had and all the comments were very positive.”
The event started with informal networking while people enjoyed refreshments and got to know each other before hearing from guest speaker Peter Bradley from the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
This was followed by around an hour of structured networking.
The next meeting will be held in the Middleton Hall on 25th June at 8am.
Admission will cost £10, but all profits will be donated to the Bluebell Wood appeal.
Added Mr Wells: “I am hoping around 30 people will attend the next event.”
“Anyone wanting more information should call me on 01909 561706 or on my mobile 07748720542.”
