POLICE are still hunting for a knife-wielding burglar who threatened a woman in Thurcroft eight weeks ago.

Detectives would like to speak to the man in this CCTV still, seen running on Green Arbour Road just minutes after the incident on Sunday 17th August.

A 32-year-old woman was woken at about 5.15am to find a man wearing her purple Mambo jacket and holding a blade in her South Street bedroom.

He asked questions about the property, and left with her large yellow and grey striped purse from downstairs that contained a number of cards and a small amount of cash.

He is described as white, in his 20s, about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build with a bald or shaven head. Along with her jacket, he was wearing a pair of jeans and spoke with a local accent.

It is thought the alleged offender entered through the woman's front door, which had been accidentally left open.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of man in the image, or about the incident itself, is urged to contact Det Con Matt Price in Rotherham CID on 01709 83 2265 or email matt.price@southyorks.pnn.police.uk.

Alternatively people can phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
