SPIRITS were high for Woodsetts Midsummer Festival this week which brought a little bit of magic back into the British summer.
Organised by Woodsetts Millennium group the event, on Worksop Road's Recreational Grounds proved to be extremely successful with pleasant weather which helped to raise everybody's spirits.

Monica Carol, who helped with some of the organisations said: "It was incredibly successful, our best turnout ever."

"It was very well organised, and people from miles away came to join in." she added.

Money raised from the festival goes towards the following year's events to make each year better than before.

There were various activities including a display from Kilton Pet Rescue, an EM Roadshow and sports party for children and several different stalls.

Chairman Billy Pringle said: "This year's turn out was great thanks to the excellent weather we had, and we hope to hold an extra special event next year to mark our 10th year of the Festival. "
