Strictly ‘spectacular’ show

Harry on the Strictly 2012 tour

Harry on the Strictly 2012 tour

Last Thursday I went to the Motorpoint arena in Sheffield with my friend Rosie to see the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour.

Having gone to dancing school for many years, I have always had a great interest in all forms of dance and enjoy watching strictly on the television along with most of the country.

So, as you can imagine, I was really looking forward to seeing the show live.

And I was not to be disappointed. The line-up featured the newly-crowned 2011 winner Harry Judd and runners-up Chelsee Healey and Jason Donovan.

Also in the line up from last year’s show were Eastenders legend Anita Dobson, former footballer Robbie Savage, the glamorous Nancy Dell’olio and ex-Olympic swimmer from 2008 show Mark Foster.

The judging panel featured Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel-Horwood, who actually directed the tour.

The judges were just as outspoken, if not more so, than on the television, which proved hugely entertaining with the audience.

And there were some very strong comments especially to Robbie and Nancy.

The celebrities each performed two dance sequences and were scored accordingly for each one.

The winner on the night, decided by the audience, was Harry followed closely by Chelsee.

The celebrities dazzled, the costumes were as Craig often quotes fab-u-lous and the professional dancers as always performed spectacularly.

Rosie and I had a very enjoyable evening - even though we did have to brave the cold weather to get there.
