Busy month ahead at Retford Majestic
RETFORD Majestic Theatre's autumn programme looks golden with a varied line-up of entertainers, comedians and musicians gearing up for October shows.
Sixties pop star Billy Fury will be remembered when his original band The Tornadoes – now fronted by Colin Gold – come to town on Saturday 3rd October.
They will performing all the classics from Last Night Was Made For Love through to Halfway To Paradise. Tickets are all priced at 16.50.
Saturday 10th October sees a first visit to the theatre by comedian Joe Pasquale in what is sure to be a great evening’s entertainment. Tickets for his stand-up show are 17.
The Retford Lions present Matt Monro Junior’s Intimately Yours show on Friday 16th October.
This show offers a real insight into the life and music of the late Matt Monro.
It promises to be a warm, witty and intimate evening that recreates, celebrates and pays homage to the legend and his friends, including Sammy Davis, Frank Sinatra, Barry Manilow, Neil Diamond and The Beatles. Tickets are priced 17.50, 16.50 concessions.
Friday 17th October will offer up Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance featuring two hours of thrilling song and dance numbers from stage and screen. Tickets are priced 16 and 17.
From Wednesday 21st to Saturday 24th October Retford Gilbert and Sullivan present The Mikado – a comic tale of love, intrigue and romance and an occasional execution. Tickets all priced 10.
Tribute show Abba Forever comes along on Sunday 25th October to take audiences down memory lane in a two-hour concert.
To round off the month’s entertainment, The Counterfeit Stones return on Saturday 31st October.
Tickets for this show are priced 14 and 15.
