A Zimbabwe a cappella dance group is coming to Worksop's Acorn Theatre.
The Black Umfolosi Five are performing on Saturday 21st June.
The group, which formed in 1982 in Zimbabwe, has performed around the world and released many recordings over the past 25 years.
They are particularly well known for their trademark harmonies and their legendary ‘Gumboot Dance’ with its South African mining origins.
The Acorn Theatre’s artistic director Craig Hawes says he is delighted that the group are performing at the Queen Street venue.
“This is a chance to see these world famous Zimbabwe singers perform their spectacular songs and dances that thrill audiences across the globe,” he said. ”Audiences can expect an energetic mix of harmony, rhythm and dance in a brilliantly choreographed show.”
Tickets for the event, which begins at 7.30pm, are priced £8 and are available from the box office on 01909 501817.
