ROBIN Hood is preparing to ride back to his homeland for the annual Robin Hood Country Show, which is coming to the Newark and Notts Showground on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October.
Organisers say the show will be right on target to offer people of all ages an unforgettable day out, as it lies within the heart of Sherwood Forest where the story began - promising a nostagia-packed and fun experience.

Throughout the weekend there will be a host of exciting attractions, trade stands and things to do for all the family, from jousting and falconry displays to dog racing and even the chance to see dancing sheep.

This year the falconry display will offer all bird enthusiasts a chance to see Star - an Aplomado X Gyr breed who was born in May this year, and who will be taking his first ever flight at the show.

For more active people, there will also be archery, rifle club for all ages and outside tower climbing – amongst a whole range of sporting activities.

For up to date information about events visit www.robinhoodcountryshow.co.uk.

Tickets purchased in advance are priced £7, £6 for OAPs and students, free for children aged between five and 16, free for children under five and £23 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children). Prices will vary if purchased on the day.

We have teamed up with event organisers to offer 10 family tickets to readers.
