Recently the cost of rail travel went up by more than inflation yet again - what a green way to get everyone driving their cars again!

Anyway I was thinking about a train trip to London so I checked out the cost of Worksop to King’s Cross return.

Turns out the off-peak cost is now £114. Shocking I know. I checked out how much it was to St Pancras (which is right next door to King’s Cross). Guess what? Same type of ticket £71.80. So there you have it folks it costs £42.20 to walk 50 yards from one station to the other.

And guess what else? To get to St Pancras the national rail website says you have to go via... wait for it... King’s Cross and walk!
