Kids with no road sense

Driving down Valley Road this morning on my way to work, I couldn’t believe the amount of school children who take their own lives in the hands by darting across the road at the last minute narrowly missing being hit by a car!

I counted at least three groups of kids who shot out causing cars to brake sharply. Sooner or later there is going to be a fatal accident.

Not only is it the kids (admittedly not all of them) on foot who are being irresponsible, but there are also children on bikes albeit it in the cycle lane, but riding the wrong way down the road.

Come on parents (and teachers), take these kids to one side and have a word before it’s too late.

Its not only the family of the child who has to live with the damage that could be done, it is also the driver and no matter how slowly and carefully they are driving they will always carry the guilt.
