BHF needs your donations

The recent extreme weather conditions have left many people in Worksop unable to donate their unwanted items to their local British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop.

This is having a serious impact on our Worksop shop and stock levels are critically low. Last year the severe weather cost BHF shops over £1 million because we experienced a devastating drop in donations. Donations are the lifeblood of our shops - which raised £26 million last year in the fight against heart disease. BHF shop managers are already reporting a 80% drop in donations in areas worst hit by the snow.

I’m urging Worksop people to call 0844 412 5000 for a free collection if they’re struggling to donate or to hold onto their goods and donate them to the BHF Worksop when it’s safe to do so.

Everyone can help the BHF Worksop this winter by donating good quality clothing, shoes, accessories, CDs, DVDs, books, toys and bric-a-brac.

If you’re clearing out your home and you’re struggling to remove that unwanted sofa, wardrobe or Hi-Fi the BHF Doncaster Furniture & Electrical Store also offers a free collection for those larger, good quality items which can be booked online at bhf.org.uk/collection.

To find your nearest BHF shop or Furniture & Electrical store call 0844 412 5000 or visit bhf.org.uk/shops.
